Ica
I ate Fettuccine a lo Alfredo tonight. It was the most I've spent on food since being in Peru (a mere $7 equivalent), but totally worth it. Instead of chicken or even shrimp, there were peices of ham in it. Because we missed lunch due to the bus rides, I was starving. The pasta disappeared muy rapido. Anyway, like any of you cares about my eating habits... We left Cusicancha around 11:15am and got here to Ica around 5:30pm. We stay in civilization only for tonight, then we take a vegetable/livestock/passenger truck to Santiago de Chocorvos tomorrow morning. I'm talking about a big truck with a single cab and a huge bed. It should be a fun 7 hours. We had a really good time in Cusicancha with the team and the residents. I felt like our presence was effective. We did our dramas and a couple of songs in the plaza last night around 8pm, and there was a large turnout. I also hurt my ankle while showing out. I rolled it in an unlevel flowerbed after coming down from running on a rail. Very smoothe. I've been walking on it today, but it is still injured. That's no good for a boy that likes to hike and play soccer. I don't have much news since yesterday, but I may not get a chance to internet for a few days. Feliz Dia de Padre, Frank! Te amo!

J! i ate fettucini alfredo on saturday night too :) mine didn't have ham in it though... i just now caught up on your blogging for the past week and a half. my work sent me to Chicago for an interior design trade show last week with a lady i work with. we had a great time. i'll show you pics when you return.
i can't believe how many people y'all were able to fit in a mini van! and i also can't imagine how that smelled if it was the least bit warm in there. sounds like you're enjoying all the hiking/rock climbing you get to do between playing with kids and making yourself sick playing soccer. take care of your ankle so you can start playing again!
we miss you here in GA! love you man!

Love the blog...realizing how awesome it is to be there...knowing how you have grown...and remembering a Sunday night when no one else knew what to build out of that spaghetti/noodle stuff and you making computer! Build memories and share your love!

so i was talking to someone tonight and somehow our we got on the discussion of just how freakin awesome john green is. no joke-- we seriously talked about how much we love you for like 21.7 minutes. that's prolly a little creepy, but worth stating nonetheless.
i'm stoked that everything is so honky-dory down there. take care of that ankle. praying for you, bud.

John,
Daddy got your message that you had tried to call. He was so sorry that he missed your call. I hope y'all had a great time riding in the vegtable truck. I can't wait to hear about your week. Tim comes home on Saturday. He will be here two weeks. He is hoping to buy a car while he is here. Bek and Robby have been in New York City for three days, so we have all been taking turns taking care of Emma. Last night was my turn, and Daddy is over there tonight. David has had her for the past two days, and Lizzy kept her this evening--she is a group project. We love you so much and can't wait to see you in August.
Love, Mama
John - I read all of your blog to LPD this morning and we are both blown away by your descriptive writing abilities. You make us feel like we are there with you! LPD says that it makes her feel at ease to know that you are so content at where you are - especially since moving from place to place can be so hard. LD - who almost never sheds a tear :) - nearly had a tear reading how God is using you and growing you during this trip. We are both so proud of you and are praying for you. LPD just got back from a week at Junior High Camp as a counsellor and loved it. Now she is back to the exciting desk job at the Rec-Plex. She said to tell you that you are a Peruvian Stud and that she and Carrie think of you often. I do too! LD & LPD
